Working Fire In Copiague

COPIAGUE, NY – On January 20, 2009 the Copiague Fire Department responded to a fire located at 1035 Montauk Highway. The fire was reported in a building next to the animal hospital. Upon arrival by first responding chiefs, the 13/35 was transmitted with mutual aid from Lindenhurst requested to the scene.

 

The fire was to the rear of the structure which was a 2 story abandoned house. Firefighters made quick work of the fire and brought the fire under control before it spread too far. Lindenhurst stood by with Ladder 1-6-4 as the Rapid Intervention Team.
