FARMINGDALE, NY – On Thursday afternoon (July 9, 2009) the Bethpage Fire Department responded to a house fire at 3 Chester Lane. Upon arrival by first responding units a working fire was transmitted.

Hicksville, South Farmingdale, Plainview, North Massapequa and Levittown all assisted either on scene or at nearby firehouses for this call. The fire initiated in the basement with some extension to the first floor. Firefighters made quick work of the fire but the electrical service to the house kept sparking up and catching on fire.
