01/31/2008: Car Vs Store In Plainview
PLAINVIEW, NY – At around 2:15 p.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2008 the Plainview Fire Department responded to a car into a store at 593 Old Country Road. Upon arrival they found a car which struck the front of the 21st Century Shoe Repair causing the front window to break completely.
Although the vehicle took out the entire front window, there was minor structure damage. The only damage aside from the front window seemed to be the window support beam at the base of the window. There was also minimal damage to the vehicle involved. The occupant of the vehicle first claimed he was injured but then claimed he was not injured and refused any medical treatment. There were no other reported injuries to any occupants of the store. Units were taken up shortly after the incident while Nassau County Police remained on scene to finish their report.
