FARMINGDALE, NY - This is the scene of an MVA that took place early Sunday morning in Farmingdale where a vehicle struck a LIRR overpass between E Gate and Merritts Road. According to witnesses on scene the vehicle struck the first support beam of the LIRR tracks, went air-born, flipped around and landed sideways in the right lane. The driver of the vehicle self-extricated himself and ran around to the passenger to check on his friend, who was extricated by fire department personnel after they removed the passenger door.
