WEST BABYLON, NY - This is the scene where a bad accident took place in the westbound lane of Sunrise Highway under the Route 109 overpass. The Fire Department and police rushed to the scene, where police handed bags of ice over the divider fence to EMS on scene. Dispatch reported that one of the occupants sustained a severed limb as a result of the accident. The aided was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital after a Medevac was unable to fly due to the weather. (Photo by Adam Daley / August 11, 2008)
