08/19/2008: Overturned Auto In Bay Shore

BAY SHORE, NY – On the evening of Tuesday, August 19, 2008 the Bay Shore Fire Department and Bay Shore-Brightwaters Rescue Ambulance responded to a motor vehicle accident on Montauk Highway near the corner Plymouth Court. Upon arrival units were met with an overturned SUV with multiple patients.

The vehicle was travelling in an unknown direction when it struck a utility pole at the corner of Plymouth Court, causing the SUV to flip over. All of the occupants were self extricated and appeared to have non-life threatening injuries. One of the occupants however, was covered in what appeared to be paint. The vehicle’s contents were thrown from the vehicles back window landing all over the road.

Bay Shore-Brightwaters Rescue Ambulance transported multiple patients to local hospitals for evaluation. The Bay Shore Fire Department stabilized the vehicle and inspected it for any fuel spills.
