09/04/2008: Car Into Building In North Merrick

NORTH MERRICK, NY – On Thursday (September 4, 2008) morning, the North Merrick Fire Department responded to a “car into building” call at 1752 Merrick Avenue. Upon arrival by first responding units they were met with a vehicle against the front of a store.

A 71 year old female, operating the black Toyota Camry, somehow lost control of her vehicle and drove into the front of the “Sing Mee Kitchen.” Suffering only minor injuries she was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. The building suffered only minor damage.
