02/07/2007: North Amityville MVA

NORTH AMITYVILLE, NY - A little after 5pm on Wednesday, February 7, 2007, the Copiague Fire Department was mutual aided into North Amityville for a 2 car MVA at Bayview Avenue and Sunrise Highway.

Copiague responded in with multiple apparatus' including 1-3-2 (Ambulance), 1-3-3 (Heavy Rescue), 1-3-5 (Pumper) and 1-3-9 (Truck).

A white SUV clearly had front end damage as the driver's side front wheel could clearly be seen laying on it's side in the wheel well.

Copaigue's Heavy Rescue 1-3-3 and Truck 1-3-9 stood by just in case they were needed.

It is unknown as to the extent of any injuries but at least one person was transfered to Good Samaritan hospital.
